I'm entering this into the Allsorts Saturday Challenge, it's a photo inspiration challenge.
The paper is Die Cut with a View summer papers and the sentiment is K & Co. I really enjoyed making this card, I love the colours.

This is for my son's bedroom, he is car mad!
I also mangaged to pick up some fabulous charity shop bargains when I walked in town the other day.
A top for my partner.....£2.99, bargain! It's looks brand new, he's really pleased with it.
I also got a couple of books to add to my collection, I love books, a book on felt accessories which looks really manageable and The Art of Paper Crafts which has some great projects to try.
Photos to follow.
Well both boys are asleep, my other half has gone back to bed as he was up early with the little one and Lennox has fell asleep on the sofa.
My daughter and I are in the conservatory, both on computers! I've got to nip to my friends later, I made her wedding invites and forgot to give her the envelopes! Must find my brain somewhere too!

The notebook was an A5 lined notebook from Tesco's, currently on offer at 90p! The papers are from the summer collection of Die Cut with a View. The foam stickers and green sparkles are from tesco's aswell, you get quite a few in a packet.
I'm really pleased with my first attempt. My daughter took it to school for her friend and she loved it, now all of her friends want one, including my daughter.....typical!
Well, I can't believe how lovely the weather still is, my washing machine has been going constantly, I love drying it outside. I always smell it as I take it off the line, small pleasures and all that!
I shall be setting off in a mo to pick my little boy up from nursery, I'm going to walk it, it's only a mile but of course that's 2 miles all together and by the time I get back I'm shattered,so only do it when I pick him up. Don't think I could do it twice a day just yet.

It only took a few attempts to get the right placing for the hearts, I put them on with blue tack and had a play about with them.
I'm really pleased with it, only another 41 to do then.......I shall get those done over the weekend, I'll probably get the little componants ready tonight and do my sticking Saturday. What a way to spend my weekend, not how it used to be! Those days are over now, I was just talking about this the other day to some old school friends (they're not old, I've just known them awhile) and we're all the same. Going out drinking etc just isn't appealing. I'd rather spend my money on something more worthwhile like ribbon, glitter and sparkly things!

Saturday I met up with some old school friends for lunch and we put a bet on the Grand National. One of my bets came second so I won............£2.50! Well I did only put 50p each way.
Sunday was even better we packed the kids into the car and set off for Ingoldmells, we made it in just over 2 hours. Which was pretty good, we decided not to stop on the way and just keep going.
This is my youngest on the car ride, couldn't get him off it, he must have gone on it 5 times at least.
I think we managed to do a bit of everything arcades, rides, food, pound shops and food. What more do you need.
I feel fully refreshed now. I've started a sewing project Friday night so will uploads pictures soon.

I think my next project is going to be a door sign for my son's bedroom, I've seen a couple recently and they've inspired me to have a go.
It's the last day of the Easter holidays today, can't believe it's gone so quickly. It's a gorgeous day outside today so the kids have been in and out all day so far. It's great to get some fresh air.
I'm going for lunch tomorrow with a couple of old school friends.....can't wait. Then on Sunday we're going to Skegness for the day, well Ingoldmells actually. Hannah prefers the big rides now so it is better. We'll probably look around the shops there too and come back with yet another football of some sort for Lennox!

I want to get started blogging but just didn't know where to start. I've looked at other blogs, some of which I am following already. They all look really good but I suppose they all started somehow.
So, here it goes......
I wanted to start my blog to get to know other crafty people and get ideas and inspiration for myself.
I have just started a handmade greetings card business, and I wanted to learn new craft skills too. I'm hoping to get a sewing machine for my birthday so that will be my next challenge. Perhaps combing the two would be good.
I was wondering what the etiquette was for blogs in terms of how often you should update? I guess when you have time....Well the kids are off school at the mo, so time is abit short currently...
We're off to the shops now, going to get the ingredients for baking tomorrow, we're making Chocolate Chip and Banana cookies. It's my son's last day at nursery on Thursday before he starts pre-school next week. I thought it would be nice to make some cookies for the staff at the nursery, he's really enjoyed it there and the girls that work there are lovely. I shall post photos....
Well, goodbye for now and hope to speak soon xxxx
